This cache is placed at the site of an old airway beacon. The trail going in is an old closed off access road. The parking coordinates listed is where you will begin your hike.
When we first came across the cache location we were searching for a benchmark at the old airway beacon. http://www.geocaching.com/mark/details.aspx?PID=GX3329. When we reached the coordinates of the beacon we found that x truly marks the spot(see pic x marks the spot). The old beacon was gone but this x was dead on. Kinda strange. Then after seeing this we found a circle with a X in it (also see pic). Even stranger. We finally figured this out. Alien landing markers!!! While searching for a good hiding spot we did find an old bulb from the beacon and a very old coke bottle. I guess even E.T. liked an ice cold coke. This is a nice hike and it looks like the view could be incredible in the early spring or late fall when the leaves are falling from the trees.
