Geocache Description:

Someone once told me that if an event happens twice in the same place then it can legitimately be called 'A Tradition'. Well, we've had 3 event caches here in the past so I think we can now call it 'Traditional'.

OK.... So where is 'here'?

It's in the upstairs room of a 16th Century Pub, just off Hatton Garden, London. I'll not give you the name as you'll need to find that for yourself to claim the virtual cache. That's right.... You'll get two points just for turning up!! Having said that, the pub's not that easy to find so if you've never been there before, don't expect to spot it from a mile away. The pub name and address are in the encrypted hint but only use that as a last resort if you intend to claim the 'virtual' cache as well. For those coming by 'tube', the nearest station is Chancery Lane on the Central Line, just a couple of minutes walk away.

When does it take place?

Well, traditionally, it's always been on a Thursday evening and I see no reason to change that. It's the evening of Thursday, 6th July 2006. The room is booked from 18:30 (half past 6, if you prefer) until closing time, whenever that may be.

Those of you that have been to one of the previous events here will know that the craic was mighty. If this one is just half as good, I'll be a very happy cache setter.
For those of you that haven't been before, just come along and have fun. You'll get a warm welcome and I'll even let you buy me a beer. Talking of which, this pub serves proper beer as well as all the 'girly' stuff and I seem to recall that the toasted sandwiches weren't half bad, either.
If two caches aren't enough for you, there's an easy micro just around the corner at St. Etheldreda's and more than 25 other assorted traditionals, virtuals, multis and puzzle caches within 1 mile of the pub. There's usually been at least one 'mob handed' assault once a pint or two has been sunk. The pub isn't exactly 'wheelchair friendly' but there will be enough willing helpers to get you up the stairs if need be. We've done it before!!

If you intend coming, please post a note here so we can get some idea of numbers.
