Skillet68: Stopped by to check on it on the way to another cache and it is gone. They are also clearing out the area and putting up a fence so no use in replacing it. Thanks to those that found it over the last 2 years.

Geocache Description:

***The cache is not located at the coordinates listed. They will take you to a parking area near the actual cache. There are a few small trade items in the cache, but is mainly a log only. Please bring your own writing instrument as this cache is too small for a pen or pencil.***

This cache is located in the Friarsgate Park Recreation area and is in honor of my home town (Ayden, NC) and my children’s home town (Irmo, SC). Please include your hometown (HT) on the log when you visit.

You will need to do some searching on the internet to answer several questions that will yield the correct coordinates of the cache.

Ayden, NC questions = North Coordinates:

N ab cd.efg

ab = Year Ayden, NC became incorporated minus 1,857.
c = Year the Old Town Hall was built minus 1,915.
d = The amount of money the town of Ayden appropriated for the library in 1943 minus $354.
e = The number of rooms in the current Ayden library minus 7.
f = The amount of money it takes to join the Ayden Theater Workshop each year.
g = Phone area code for Ayden minus 245.

Irmo, SC questions = West Coordinates:

W 081 hi.jk9

hi = Number of letters in the last names of the 2 men Irmo is named after minus 2.
j = The year Irmo was chartered minus 1883.
k = Year the CNL Railroad was to open business in Irmo minus 1886.

This cache has been placed with permission of Richland County Recreation Commission and Friarsgate Recreation Center. The cache is a small camo tube about 5" in length. Please rehide the cache as well or better than you found it.
