To glean the information as to the location of the final cache will involve a bit of driving (biking for the keen) around Dunedin. There is parking reasonably close to each of the points to be visited.
To solve this puzzle you will need to find a monument and a building in Dunedin. There are lots of both, but you need a particular one of each. If you are unfamiliar with Dunedin's monuments you may want to use the hint!
How to find them?
Start with the monument. To find this head to the co-ordinates above, there you will find a white wooden rail fence. Starting from the top you are looking for the eighth post (or the 19th from the bottom if you prefer that approach). Standing at this post (maybe on the lower rail if you are vertically challenged!) and considering the name of the cache, it transpires that the location of the monument is pointed out.
Go and visit the monument, you’ll know you have the right one because it was unveiled, by the then Governor General, on Monday AB/CD/EFGH (that date being in dd/mm/yyyy format).
I = the number of letters in the Governor Generals first name.
J = the number of letters in the Governor Generals last name.
Note: You need the value of A later on!
Now to find the building.
Head to S 45 5B.EIH E 170 DE.IJC and take a seat.
Enjoy the view. Reconsidering the name of the cache it will again transpire that the correct building is pointed out!
The building has some names at it’s main public entrance.
X = Number of letters in the middle name of Aldwyn.
Y = Number of letters in last name of Antonie.
Z = Number of letters in the first name of the person with the middle name Chelsea.
The cache is at S 45 5A.AZY E 170 AX.YYY
The cache is a small (200mL) snaplock container hidden at ground level and invisible from 0 meters. It contains a log and a limited amount of room for small trades.
