Rest and Remember Traditional Cache
BEENTHERE309: Will have to let this one go despite the fact that I hate to do so. Maybe someday when I have more time for maintenance I can re-establish this one.

Best reached via I-95, this is a regular sized container hidden in the same general area as a lovely memorial to the Battle of Bentonville, a civil war battle which took place nearby.
The Battle of Bentonville took place in March of 1865. It was the last full-scale action of the civil war in which the Confederate Army was able to mount a tactical offensive. It was the largest battle fought in North Carolina and was the only significant attempt to stop the Union army under General William T. Sherman from marching through the Carolinas. After you learn about this historic event, have some lunch, rest a while, find a cache.....and then head on down to the real battlefield if you are still interested.
In May of 2010, the cache was replaced and moved for a second time. Please use stealth and remember to rehide it as well or better than you originally found it.
FYI:
This cache would count for Page 63 on the North Carolina Delorme Challenge (GCTYE6), and for Johnston County on the North Carolina County Challenge.
