Geocache Description:

An easily accessible cache in a unique part of Central Queensland.

The cache is located in Kroombit Tops National Park, a unique location, as it holds a diverse range of ecosystems, and a number of extent limits for a number of species, especially some of the tall timbers it is famous for. The park is also home to the endangered 'Kroombit Tinker Frog'(taudactylus pleione), the subject for this cache.

For those with an adventerous streak the park offers bush camping (no facilities), some 4WD tracks, and opportunities to get out of the car and hike through the rugged wilderness, creeks and gorges (some magic waterfalls and pools for those who know where to find them). The main visitor sites at present are the lookout (easy access) and the 'Liberator crash site'(4WD only), but a number of other small sites and walks are planned for the future.

For more info on the Park and surrounds: (visit link)

The cache is a small plastic container, presently containing an assortment of frogs. It is hoped that this cache will remain a themed cache - so only frogs (not live ones) or frog related swaps please.
