Geocache Description:

Easy Rancho Cordova Business Park Drive Up

Somebody had fun naming some of the streets in a Rancho Cordova business park, and now you can share in the fun by finding this unique, thematic cache container.

The “Urban Legend” for the street naming goes like this: Prior to the Business Park developer submitting the original street names as part of the plans to the county, the names were drab and boring. Knowing this, a nerdy college intern working in the developer’s drafting department decided to change the names on the paperwork before they were submitted, as a joke. The summer was over, and it was the intern’s last day on the job anyway. Certainly one of the senior draftsmen would catch the change, get a laugh, and change the names back to drab and boring before the official documents were submitted. Much to the surprise of the nerdy intern, upon graduation and a return to the area to find the “joke” street names in use!

This is a “hide in plain sight” category of cache, so use stealth when approaching and removing the magnetically attached container.

When you've grabbed this "themed" cache, go ahead and pry the lid off to find the log sheet inside. After signing, be careful to get the lid back on securely - it takes some patience... first, insert the lip of the hinge, then you should make sure to see the holes (on either side of the connector) line up - no screws to worry about.

Bring a camera, and be sure to take a commemorative photo in front of this street sign while in the area. When you find the street sign pictured, you’ll also find the other street sign with a “joke” name.
