This is our third year with the Allegany County Cachers’ July event and this year we are going to change the location a bit, to a local cacher’s home in Belmont, NY. We're holding it on Saturday, July 22nd, so mark your calenders and save the date!
The coordinates will take you to a home on Tucker's Corners Road, which is just north of the village and south of US 86, leading west from State Route 19. We will begin at noon, set up to eat and chat and close it down by 4 pm.
This year, we’re thinking old-style family picnic. There is a pond on the property and close by the event’s location, so please be aware of this when your littlest cachers come with you.
Allegany County in the summertime is a busy place, with fairs and events and antique shopping and yard sales and caching. Come relax with us for an afternoon and meet old friends and new ones, too. We are not planning any activities as so many of us find we spend time doing things and not visiting enough at events.
Bring a dish to pass, a comfy folding lawn chair and some stories to share. If you are planning to attend, please indicate in your posting what you will be able to bring. We will have a tent, electric, tables, ice for drinks, and limited number of chairs. A gas grill and a charcoal grill will be available for use.
Parking will be on the road and we ask that you do not block any neighbor’s driveways or park in the driveway of the owner of the property. If there are any special needs cachers who plan to attend, please contact the cache owner.
