District Ranger of the Hell Canyon District of the Black Hills
National Forest.

Two geocaches listed on your website are located within the Black Elk
Wilderness, a congressionally-designated area where caches are prohibited.
I request that you immediately remove your website references to these
geocaches and that you contact the owners and advise them that the caches
must be physically removed as soon as possible.

The Iron Mountain Picnic Area Cache is located at N 43*, 51.333; W 103*,
26.331

The Mountain Goat Cache is located at N 43* 52.911; W 103* 28.964

The persons that placed the caches will not be prosecuted but will be given
information on where caches can and cannot be located on National Forest
lands

Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the Iron Mountain picnic area, on Iron Mountain Road.

Start at the parking lot, coordinates are 43*51.28N and 103*26.25W. From there walk .10 of a mile to the cache over semi rugged rocks. The cache is a one gallon tupperware container filled with some goodies for adults and kids. Once you find the cache, walk a little bit north over the rocks to see a beautiful view of the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, and the Cathedral Spires. Make sure the cache is well hidden so it does not get stolen again. Thanks and happy hunting.
