Ah, Alhambra...the 'hick town with no place to go that one shouldn't go. Who knew this hick town would have a castle?! I did when I was a little girl growing up here. I was and still am enchanted by this place. I used to make my Grandmother drive me up the hill to try and catch a glimpse of this beautiful home..........Built in 1926 by S. Dupuy for a mere $250,000 (what would that get you now? NOT MUCH), this beautiful home had 10 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, Italian marble floors, a large water fountain, chandeliers, crystal sconces ( I don't even know what a sconce is), a wine cellar, a balcony, tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, etc. Mr. Dupuys's family sold the castle in 1946 and since then, it has become many things including an 8 unit apartment dwelling. Legend says it also housed a motor magnate and "Eastern gangsters"
This mysterious palace WAS the home of a certain famous/infamous (you choose) celebrity who was happy to be a resident of this 'hick town' we call Alhambra.****He now resides in a prison somewhere for shooting a B movie actress in the face.
The cache is NOT on the castle grounds! AND contrary to some posters, it's not really an IVY hide...It's right there for crying out loud!!! That's cammo for you. No need for trespassing! Also, please use Stealth Mode...this is a residential area with many eyes.****Cache is log only...BYOP please...CACHE ON!
