Geocache Description:

This cache is based on one of the Bingham Heritage Walks.

You have two choices.
1) To set off from Bingham, I suggest parking on Tythby Road, south of the A52, there is a layby at N 52 56.624 W 00 057.495. Then follow the tarmac track parallel to the A52. Stone Age flint implements and waste fragments have been found near here. Take the footpath sign to the left of the farm to the cache.
2) To set off from Cropwell Butler, I suggest parking on Hardigate Road at N 52 55 763 W 000 59 153. You will see a footpath sign pointing through a small black metal gate. Follow this footpath along to the cache. Small flocks of partridge are common in these fields.

The cache is located at an oak tree, which is over 200 years old. The rocks in this area are Triassic in age (240 million years old).

The cache has a £5 B+Q voucher for the first to find!!
