CATALÀ:
Sant Grau és una muntanya molt a prop de Girona entre les ribes
del Ter i del Llémena. Té una molt bona vista sobre la comarca del
Gironès i en dies clars es veu la costa del Baix Empordà.
Al seu cim (495m. d'altitud) hi ha l'antic Castell de Tudela i
Capella de Sant Grau, castell datat dels segles X i XI. L'ermita
està restaurada, però el castell està en molt mal estat. També hi
ha una zona per a picnic amb taules. Mireu el mapa, número 1.
S'hi pot accedir per Sant Gregori des d'on hi ha moltes pistes i
corriols que hi porten, tant per pujar a peu com en bicicleta de
muntanya. Fins i tot en cotxe (4x4), pels que sigueu més mantes. Un
bon punt per començar és un trencant que hi ha prop de La Creu
(vegeu el mapa, número 2).
Per trobar el cache, agafeu un petit corriolet que hi ha a la
pista de baixada a mà esquerra a uns 30m del cim. El geocache és
una capsa de plàstic transparent, col·locada sota unes pedres al
peu d'una carena de roca que va en direcció NW, a uns 50m. de la
pista principal. Tot i estar al mig del bosc, la cobertura GPS és
prou bona.
ENGLISH:
Sant Grau is a mountain close to the city of Girona. It is
located between the rivers Ter and Llémena and has a good view over
the surrounding lands. In clear days it is possible to see the
shoreline of Baix Empordà.
At its top (495m of altitude) there is the former castle of
Tudela (centuries X and XI) and the chapel of Sant Grau. The castle
is in very bad condition, but the chapel is fully restored. There
is also a picnic zone. Look at the map, number 1.
You can reach the site from the town of Sant Gregori by foot,
mountain bike or even (you lazy ones) by car (4x4). There is plenty
of roads and tracks, but a good starting point is the road crossing
near La Creu (look at the map, number 2).
To find the cache, take a small footpath at the left of the main
track, just 30m from the top. The cache is a clear plastic box
located under a pile of rocks at the base of a rocky crest that
runs in the NW direction.
