The general theme for this gentle series of loosely connected
caches is the sea, or rather the lack of it. There are many things
around us that suggest that they should be in a more brine-laden
setting than they actually are.
The first addition to the series in almost a year, I thought it’s about time to start planting them again.
North Hinksey Village lies in a conservation area, at the foot of Boars Hill. It is a picturesque village with a number of thatched buildings. John Ruskin's cottage in the village bears a plaque recalling Ruskin's experiment in physical labour for art students. In 1874 John Ruskin ordered his student to improve the road and "Feel the pleasure of useful muscular work." Hopefully this small offset cache can help you to feel that same pleasure ?
The coordinates above will take you to the public house and on the sign you will see W types of fish.
On the circular plaque on the nearby Ruskins cottage noted a year when it was put up 19XY

Follow the obvious footpath to the cache site. I was surprised by the nature of the path and I hope you will be too. The cover here is dense at this time of year and the GPS readings will vary a lot. Bear this in mind when searching. You do not have to leave the footpath to find this cache.
