Part of the Salmon Falls Creek series. The Culex Pipiens Put In
puts you at a secluded spot just down creek from the most common
Rest Area put in. The beauty of this spot is the ability to leave
your rig parked for an overnight float down the creek in relative
security. The downside of this spot is the sheer agressiveness of
the mosquitos! (Hense the name of this cache) Be sure to bring the
5 gallon bucket of deet to bathe in before putting in for the
float. The road to this cache is recommended for moderate clearance
vehicles (Leave the Catera at home). The coordinates for the access
road are N 41 56.107 W 114 41.498. Expect a few rocks on the road
and sand at the end. Best floating is above 300 csf. Usually the
float season is late February till May. Go
here for current water flows.
Oh, and best caching is spring to fall unless you have a more
adventureous spirit. Check out the other caches of the series. Weir
in the heck are we? GCWNVT(NV) and Chinese take out. GCWP1Z(ID)
Have fun and don't be caught without deet!
