At the Hurstville Interpretive Center visitors can explore natural resources at their leisure,
or enjoy a naturalist led hike. In the restored native prairie you can search out colorful
wildflowers and butterflies. In the spring of 2005 a butterfly garden of native plants will be
added near the Center’s front entrance.
The 18-acre wetland will provide wildlife viewing opportunities from the trails, bird blind
and observation deck.
The Interpretive Center’s displays include a wetland diorama, waste reduction kiosk,
historic photos, and an HO scale model of the Hurstville Lime Kilns. The displays help
visitors understand the story behind these natural and historic resources found in
Jackson County.
Below are the hours from the web site. I was told that you can access the trails and such until 10:30pm. Not sure how early in the morning, I would assume as soon as the sun comes up.
