Geocache Description:

Altitude = 6046
4wheel drive = highly recommended
Ground Clearance = Stock Jeep will do.

My return geocache placement of 2006!

2(4wheelin) + 2(Hikey Hike) + 1(Rad View) = NOT A MICRO

While some are thinking how many caches can i spew out into the desert, and exactly how close can i get it to the pavement, i'm thinking bigger, better, longer, stronger.

This here's the biggest dang Ammo Can i could get my hands on. It's a monster, and If somebody decides to muggle it, they won't be taking it very far.

There's no mystery surrounding this cache. It's hidden next to a large boulder just off the peak. It's so very obviously not hidden well, as i doubt muggles will be willing to move it.

I was able to get within .60miles of cache with my jeep cherokee in part-time 4wheel. The hike was made amazingly easier by walking up the ridgeline. Foxtails weren't even horrible, bad yes, unbearable no.

In all my cachin' to date, this is honestly my favourite view or Reno yet. It's a close second to Abe's Mt. Rose cache, but that's just the best view period.

You should be able to remove the four rocks on top the cache, and pop the lid off without moving the whole can.

Original Cache Contents include: (when placed in 2006)

-Labatts Blue beer sign (tin)
-Roll TP (I wish more tough caches had this in it!)
-Sega genesis cartrdige: After burner two
-Sega genesis console: gen II model (It hurt me to say g'bye)
-Lots of Twin City Surplus stickers
-Seriously customized logbook.. very nice material
-Pen
-3TF prize (geocaching embossed desk planner)
-2TF prize (geocaching notes and memo journal, great 4 logs)
-1TF prize (.50cal Ammo Can... With GBES logbook. WHAT COULD BE BETTER???)

Sooo there it is. Feel free to leave your footprints all over this cachepage at any time, before or after hunt. I'm open to all feedback in this cache, good/bad/rude/cordial/grammatically incorrect/apathetic. If i didn't want your honest feedback, i wouldn't have left a log book and pen in the cache.

Also.. please don't forget... this is a LARGE cache, bring some LARGE trade items already. Stuffed animals, Playstation 1's... 1984 VCR Camcorders (ok, it's not THAT big!)

Cache Update 5/30/13: After 7 years in the desert this cache has held up admirably. As a testimony to the durability of ammo cans, I had placed a Sega Genesis console and game in the cache at original placement. After 7 years in an ammo can in the desert I did some cache maintenance, removed the Sega, took it home and tested it. It worked just as good as another Sega that I've had in my home for the last 7 years. Truly: LONG LIVE AMMO CANS
