Geocache Description:

Located along the bluff that runs around Mackinac Island. Getting to the upper area of the island is uphill and the terrain is rolling hills. It's a good workout so you be the judge if you're able to do it. I highly recommend picking up a "Island Locator Map" from the information booth across the street from the Arnold docks or N45 50.988 W84 37.065.

We have set up several caches that you can find by walking or riding a bike. Due to the steep hills and the fact that some roads have posted signs that prohibit self drive carriages I'm not listing horse as a method of travel. All of the caches in this series are located along the top of the bluff that runs around the island near the harbor. This series is much shorter than our "Road Apple Tour" but it's on top of the island. It's a bit of a hike up so we are making it worth your time by placing this series of caches for you to find. No cache in this series requires you to climb on the bluff. At each cache location there is a fence and you do not need to cross the fence so for your safety stay on the correct side.

This cache has a nice view of the harbor, Round Island and it's lighthouse. Be careful of muggles as you will be in plain sight of anyone traveling along the road.
