Portland Boardwalk Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Allay: Seems to gone missing.
I will not be replacing it.
While we enjoyed Geocacheing it is always the few.
If you noticed the kicked out fence uprights. (vandalism)
Right where the cache was.
Some where too lazy to walk around. (3m)

We no longer Geocache, great idea but like I said the wrong few.

I have seen too many long time caches in this state.

Geocache Description:

Easy walk with small children of about 1 km in total on trails.

Portland Boardwalk

At first I thought I would place a drive by, but soon realized this place deserves more.

As you will see.

No bush whacking, no fees, stay on the trails best describes this cache.

It is less than a 1 km trip in total.

The final cache site will require you to move off the trail by less than a metre.

The parking lot is located at
N 44° 42.639’
W 076° 10.531’

Waypoint 1

N 44° 42.678’
W 076° 10.555’

Here you will find creatures with numbers on them, you will need these numbers to figure out waypoint 2.

Waypoint 2

N 44° 42.Muskrat, Water Strider’
W 076° 10.Whitish Water Milfoil, Yellow Water Lily’

Once at waypoint 2 you will need to answer this question for waypoint 3
What year was the European Frog-Bit introduced in Ottawa?

Waypoint 3

Take the year and subtract 1172 to get the minute portion for the north coordinate.
Take the year and subtract 1381 to get the minute portion for the west coordinate.

N 44° 42.(year-1172)’
W 076° 10.(year-1381)’

Once here you need to answer this question.

Wing span of the larger bird in feet?

Waypoint 4

The below coordinates needs to be corrected add the wing span to both minute portions.

N 44° 42.(785 +Wing Span)’
W 076° 10.(528 + Wing Span)’

Here you will have to fill in this blank..

Northern Pike
They spawn right after ice out in as little as "X" inches of water.
Take that single digit number and add it to each digit of the minute portion to find the cache.

Waypoint 5 The Cache

N 44° 42.(2+X)(3+X)(4+X)’
W 076° 10.(1+X)(1+X)(1+X)’
