Behind the Wall of the San Tan Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

John Wayne Pooch: I stopped by to check on this one after the last DNF and I told them where to
look and they still did nit find it. The area was being leveled when I stopped to look and it was indeed gone. It looks like they are going to be doing some construction in the area so I'm letting this one go.

Geocache Description:

REASONS FOR THIS CACHE: I have always had a fascination with the highway systems. I use to sit up on top of the Sossaman exit sign over the 60 (this is illegal, I do not recommend it) and watch the cars drive by at night. Since they completed the loop 202 San Tan I found a place that is open to be able to see the roads. I also drive this way a few times a week and as I drive past I have a clear view of where I placed the cache. I hope to see you there; you may hear me honk if I see you.

CACHE DESCRIPTION: this is not the greatest place for a cache but I have seen worse. It can not be accessed from the 202; you have to get to it from Ellsworth Rd. the extra coords will show you where to turn so that you do not have to drive through the neighborhood. The cache-spot does offer some good views of the 202.

DESCRIPTION OF CACHE CONTAINER: The container is a long cylinder spray painted to match where it is placed. The red side is so that you know which is not the correct end to have showing when replaced. I did this because I glued a magnet for easy removal of the container. In the past it was hard to get out but with a magnet inside the lid all you need now is a piece of metal, something like a key ring from your car keys. Just stick the metal up to the end and you should be able to slide it out to be able to grab it. It is big enough for geocoins and small travel bugs.

FTF PRIZE, FINDER & ORIGINAL CONTENTS: The FTF prize is a free ice cream cone so hurry before it melts everywhere. Congratulations to AZcachemeister for the FTF. Contents are: Trouble game pen, a few other things, a logbook and a pen.

NOTES & OTHER INFO: The best way to the cache is from Ellsworth Rd. I have added a waypoint to show where to turn at and then it is a straight shot there at least for now. There is also a way there through the neighborhood. Please remember, the container has a self removal tool inside which is a magnet glued to the lid on the inside. All you need is a piece of metal like a key ring. Place it to the outside and you can then slide it out. The red side is NOT to be on the outside when replacing it.

PICTURE RESTRICTIONS: Please feel free to post any pictures you would like but please do not disclose the immediate location of the cache.

ERROR ACCURACY & WARNINGS: 7 feet. The "no tresspassing" sign is for the neighborhood to the North, it is not for the area you will take to get there or be.
