TeamBC#5Seed#3-Dustin Traditional Cache
Ceejmo: Stopped by after work and searched for this since there had been several logs stating that it could not be found. I couldn't find it either. I'm going ti archive it. It has been a fairly popular cache and has brought many people to this landmark.

From TeamBC#5 Seed Pod Cache. This is one of the seeds.
About location:
When I was a kid my brothers and I used to ride our bikes from Skinner Rd down Spring Cypress Rd to Hempstead Hwy just to buy a bottle of Coke at this location. The Coke was 5 cents and the deposit on the bottle was 5 cents.
This place has been donated to Harris County to be refurbished and preserved as a Historic park. There used to be Leon's Barber Shop, Jergens Grocery Store and the fillin' Station.
When the Texas Department of Transportation built the new U.S. 290, it by-passed the little Cypress business district on old 290. Subdivisions developed and then a big new shopping center. Any old business districts usually get wiped out in this process. But most of the surviving old Cypress business district was owned by a man who didn’t want it wiped out. Gene Zaboroski had inherited the property from an aunt and uncle who had raised him. He sold part of the land to one of the new businesses but he donated 2.6 acres including the general store, the dance hall, filling station and house to Harris County to be preserved as an historic park.
This park is not open yet but the cache is not inside the fence.
