As you turn into the entrance of Nixon Park, you go past “The Lost and Found Horse Rescue” of Jacobus. You notice that there are a number of horses of all sizes and breeds wandering around. These horses would not be alive if it were not for the heroic efforts of this organization. They have saved these noble animals from being prematurely destroyed. They have given them a second chance to provide someone with a pet and companion that can bring enjoyment for many years to come. The Lost and Found Horse Rescue Foundation holds open houses 2 to 5 p.m. Sundays, excluding holidays. Other visits and volunteer work are done by prearranged appointments only. All three caches, which are in 3” plastic containers, are located in Nixon Park. The first leg of the Triple Crown is the Kentucky Derby.
