Geocache Description:

Shouldn't be too hard to find. Original container was ammo box which got pilfered. Next was a coffee can but time & elements wore it out. Now have a small, brown, metal container in place. Bear in mind that with foliage an accurate reading to GZ may not be possible. People have moved this from its original place & have put it back in the general vicinity so it may take some looking for to locate it.

I checked it on 08-22-10 and it was in the correct place.

One of the nice things about New Mexico is places like this still exist and are still active – when we were there the place was unlocked and the inside was cool as only an adobe structure can be in the summer.

As far as we can tell this place was established about 1885. Makes me wish I still played with B & W photography – this is an Ansel Adams type place with the old apple orchard in the background.

Stay Safe,
Ivanq and Kathe
