While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Trikkestaller
I Trondheim ligger idag världens nordligaste spårvagnslinje, Gråkallbanen. Spårvagnarna har varit ett inslag i stadsbilden ända sedan december 1901, då första linjen startade mellan Ila och Buran. Sedan starten har fem vagnhallar byggts, men endast en används till trafiken idag.

Under 1984 gjordes en upprustning med nya vagnar och ny vagnhall, men fyra år senare kom beslut om att spårvägen i Trondheim skulle läggas ner. Under två år stod spåren öde och många togs bort eller asfalterades över. 1990 återuppstartade Gråkallbanen AS som idag driver den enda linjen i staden, mellan S:t Olavs gate och Lian.

Antalet resande är idag ca 750 000 – 800 000 per år, vilket är en liten del jämfört med toppåret 1918 då det var 13,9 miljoner resande.

Denna multicache tar dig med på en tur mellan de fem (fyra platser) spårvagnshallarna i Trondheim. En av dem rymmer idag ett sporveismuseum.

Depots
The worlds most northen tramway is Gråkallbanen in Trondheim. It was in 1901 Trondheim first got a tramway, between Ila and Buran. Since then, five depots have been built, but only one is used for the trams in traffic today.

1988 the tramway in Trondheim was closed down, even though it was put in good order a few years earlier with new trams and new depot. It was two years with deserted rails, but in 1990 Gråkallbanen AS started once again and are now operating with one route between S:t Olavs gate and Lian.

This cache will take you to all five depots (four places) in Trondheim. One of them contains a tramway museum.
