Another cache located near a ferry terminal? Think again. While awaiting the ferry, this one may be available to those with flighty feet and springy legs. However, it may be...er.. just barely out of reach??
The most direct approach from the ferry terminal is to walk east along the shoreline all the way to the new paved shore trail. This may not be possible during high tide. A very scenic way for those with wheels is to turn north off of Highway 20 at the San Juan Passage sign (N48* 30.150, W122* 40.000), and proceed to N48* 30.195, W122* 40.042. ( a "T" in the road). Park there and walk down the new brick and stone stairs, to the newly paved shore path. The way that requires the easiest walk is to turn west at the "T" and drive down to the west end of the newly paved shore trail. Park there and walk a short distance.
This cache has a terrain rating of 2 based on having to climb down a short loose rocky slope from the trail. Please retain rock camo that hides cache from muggles.
This is an excellent spot to watch ferries come and go.
