Middle Tennessee Geocachers' Club
in conjunction with Metro Parks
presents an
Introduction to Geocaching
event.
Join us on Sat, November 11th from 9 - 11 am at the Centennial
Park Picnic Shelter.
Learn how to use GPS Technology to find geocaches (containers
with log books and trinkets). Geocaches are hidden around the world
with over 7500 in Tennessee and over 2000 in the Nashville area
alone!
Geocaching is a wonderful activity for singles, couples or
families, because it’s exciting and engaging, and because most
geocaches are hidden by a beautiful view, an historic structure, or
really amazing hiding place – in plain sight!
We'll meet at the large picnic shelter near the train engine to
discuss the basics of geocaching and give you the opportunity to
meet some of the local geocaching enthusiasts!
