On stage 18 at Sörmlandsleden near the cottage Rotsätter there is a remarkable tree, a so-called curative-pine. It was used in former times medical sciense. Through the hollows by the roots they pulled their sik peoples and in that way they thought that the illness should stay in the pine. The last person that in all seriousness was pulled through the pine was the dressmaker of Ånhammar, Klara, who was cured in about 1880.
You can also se several holes in the pine were they have bored out chips and put them on for example one's aching teeth. They thought that the ache in that way should be transmitted to the pine. By the folklore should all the illness which the pine had been given hit the person that as time goes on cut down this strange tree.
If you want to you can continue to walk on stage 19 at Sörmlandsleden where you pass by near Kammarsten and as time goes on you went to Horsbetslet.
