This cache is not multicache; rather just one part of a three part series of caches that together lead to the final cache the Three Keys to Successful Geocaching for Newbies. This cache can be found independently or used to obtain partial coordinates to the final.
We had confidently headed out on one of our earliest caches; a kid friendly ammo box with a 2 rating. We left the well-marked trail with 2/10 of a mile to go. After confronting waist-high weeds, mosquitoes, mud, thorns and finally an uncrossable river; we returned to the exact same spot on the trail that we had left an hour before. Frustrated, bitten and sweaty we then easily found the cache further up the windy trail after crossing the river via a BRIDGE and after ONLY a 100-foot bushwhack. Lesson Learned!!!
In the Key 3 – Don’t Be In A Hurry To Bushwhack cache you will find some bandaids, batteries, a flashlight, antiseptic wipes, and some kid friendly trinkets and one part of the coordinates to the final Three Keys to Successful Geocaching for Newbies cache. For the First to Find you will find a First to Find button and a Geocachers’ Creed button. Good luck!!
The other caches in this series are….
Key 1 – It’s Okay To Use A Map (GCWVQQ)
Key 2 – It’s Not Always That Obvious (GCWVR2)
And the final cache Three Keys to Successful Geocaching for Newbies (GCWVQJ)
