Mountainous Multicache Mayhem Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A multicache up a fire trail by Marshall Canyon golf course

Please only log this as a find if you find all four stages of the cache in order! If you only find the last one or the first one, don't log it. The point of this being a multicache is for the cacher to challenge themselves with a strenuous uphill hike.

Drive north on Wheeler and turn east onto Golden Springs Road. Turn north onto Stephens Ranch Road and park near Waypoint 1. Waypoint 1 contains the coordinates for Waypoint 2, Waypoint 2 has the coordinates for Waypoint 3, and Waypoint 3 has the coordinates for the final cache. The final cache is a gallon or so bucket wrapped in gray duct tape. Original contents are a handheld scrabble game, a deck of Pepsi playing cards, a yellow Jeep 4x4 travel bug thing, the Blue Man from Glendora travel bug, as well as a log book and pen. The container at Waypoint 1 is a black film canister thing. The containers at Waypoints 2 and 3 are non-cammoed pill bottles. Make sure to rehide the containers securely. The trail is easy TO FOLLOW all the way up, but is slightly overgrown in parts. The trail is sbout 1-1.5 miles long with an elevation gain of approximately 1550-1600 feet. That's the tough part. Watch out for snakes and ticks. A few tips before attempting this one.
1. Wear long pants and good hiking shoes/boots
2. Start before it gets hot
3. Bring water
4. Wear bug repellent and sunscreen.
Please do not post spoiler pictures of the final cache site that will allow people to figure out the final location without the coordinates. The final cache is located off of the Sunset Peak Mtwy and people with special access could drive to within 100 feet of the cache and make it a very easy find, which it is not meant to be. There are some very good views to be had here, so have fun!

Congratulations to 3blackcats for the FTF!
