Geocache Description:

Located along one of the main "routes" through Winnsboro. Park in
vicinity, but not uncommon for visitors to this site.

Winnsboro is one of the most patriotic cities in America. On
Memorial Day, July 4th, Veteran's Day, Labor Day, and other special occasions over 400 American flags fly proudly along Louisiana Highway 15, also known as "Veterans Memorial Highway." This Cache site along this highway has markers for soldiers from Franklin Parish who have served in the military since the Spanish American War to today’s conflicts. While there is a physical cache, the real treasure is the men recognized in this area. While here, take the time to reflect on their deeds, as well as the deeds of your own family members in their military service. The box is not large enough for a pencil, but larger than a matchbox.
