Conspirators Crossing Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Brynric: I checked the cache today and it was in fact there, but so was a load of unpleasant rubbish. The area has suffered from thoughtless drivers in the past and it isn't the pleasant picnic spot it once was. There is an excellent series passing close by and so I think its time for Conspirators Crossing to be honourably retired. Many thanks to all the finders.
As for the clue which seemed to cause some folk such difficulty (chocolate teapot indeed), I thought it was suitably criptic. The find was a small container magnetised to the iron work at the east end of the bridge.

Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a trio in my local area designed with a theme in mind. Each one, I hope, offers a different type of challenge. They should make you cross, but not angry.

This cache is set by the River Arrow near a number of points of interest. The NT property nearby is worth a visit. It was home to conspirators of the Gunpowder Plot. I’d like to think of messengers bringing news of the failed conspiracy splashing through the ford, but they probably didn’t. There are several long distance footpaths nearby and the little town of Alcester is the meeting point of two Roman Roads.

The ford itself is a popular recreational spot for a range of muggles involved in a variety of activities. The challenge is to avoid them. You can park quite near to the cache. There is traffic and deep water close by, take great care.

The cache is small, about 0.2 litres. It contains a log, pencil and sharpener but not much room for anything else.

You don’t have to get wet to find this, but you can if you want to.
