Another of the series that you can reach by flying or driving. This highlights a truly amazing building and aircraft museum.
Cache is availble at all hours, but I recommend coming when the museum is open, you will not regret it!
This destination has a lot to offer. Fine airplane museum, largest wooden building in the world, and food. This was a WWII Naval air station near Tillamook, Oregon. Blimps based here patrolled the ocean for enemy ships and submarines. A Japanese submarine actually fired on Fort Stevens a few miles to the north. The blimps were hangered in the building that now hosts the museum and restaurant. After touring the museum you can have a nice lunch.
