A National Registered Historic Landmark, the Old Log Church is
seldom seen by motorists traveling Rt. 53 through Drifting. It was
built in 1851 by the first settlers in this area. There is a small
display board inside the church with a short history of the
church
This Cache can be as quick or long as you like. The Cache will
take you to the Old Log Church and then if time permits, with the
information provided on the display board, you can follow the
gravel path to the Old Oak Tree and through to the Stations of the
Cross. If you wish to visit the Stations you can also walk through
them by parking at the Stone Church on Rt. 53.
Please park on the gravel Cemetery road and do not drive on the
grass by the Log Church. You will not need to bushwack. You should
