Geocache Description:

I travel to and from work along this highway nearly every day. When I started geocaching, I often thought how great it would be to have some caches to search for on my way home. Caches have now been hidden on both sides of this road between Wilson and Kenly, so geocachers may stop and search while traveling in either direction.

Organized in 1917-1918 and incorporated by an Act of Congress on February 24, 1925, the American War Mothers is the oldest Veterans organization. It was established for mothers whose sons and daughters served or are serving in the United States Armed Forces during conflict or war.

A monument was erected at this cache location that is dedicated to the men and women of the Wilson County who served in World War II.

The cache is log only, so bring your own writing tool.
