Geocache Description:

Located at Spring Valley Park

This is the first cache in Rock county to help with GCWVG8 Nebraska 93 County Challenge. This small rest stop along hwy 20 has restrooms and running water and a historical marker with some interesting information on it. We have stopped here before and picnicked on our way through usually going to or from Long Pine. When we placed the cache we were greeted by 2 playful puppies from the residence nearby and the kids named them the park puppies. In front of the restrooms is a guest book to sign and is also interesting reading. The park is maintained by the village of Newport and permission was received to place cache. You are looking for a ammo can, hopefully the tree cover didn't got my cords to far off. Have fun!!!
