Located South of Sisters, Oregon with mostly moderately level hiking or biking with only a short last 1/2 mile of steeper elevation gain.
Edited: 6/5/07....Changed containers from tupperware to an ammo can to keep the squirrels from chewing on it :) Start at one of two places. If you like a nice 10 mile round trip mtn. bike ride go to the corner of elm and tyee at 44 17.044N 121 32.971 W to start. Otherwise keep driving south on threecreeks rd for another 1/2 mile and turn left on forest rd.4606 and drive to this location a park. 44 15.743 N 121 32.032 W. The last way is 2 miles closer so would be a 3 mile hike or mtn. bike from there. I would suggest mtn. biking since it is such a neat trail. Just follow the bike route trail and about .65 miles into the hike if you take the shorter length make sure you see the sign to turn left(2.65 miles for starting for the longer route). At 4.1 miles for the longer route or 2.1 for shorter you will go across a red cinder rd.....go straight(it is well signed anyway). Enjoy the view when you get to the top. One of the best views of the cascade mtn. range here. Actual cache is about 10 feet east of the ending cache coordinates because of rocks and a cliff.
