About 1875 the Badillo brothers came up from Costa Rica and started planting coffee trees with the idea of starting a coffee plantation, however our weather was too dry, and they soon gave up. All we have left is a street named Badillo Avenue and a plaque at the site. Come and read more about it. I put a cache so people can know about this history. Best parking is at N34/05.352,W117/54.012. Contains a 1943 steel penny, etc., and a gold $1 for FTF.
