Baa Baa Black Sheep Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Clova: Had already decided to pick this one up and archive it next time we were passing as it seems to be close to traps which really isn't ideal for any cache much less one for children. Stopped today to collect it and couldn't find the thing...

Goodbye!

Geocache Description:

This cache is a themed cache

Farmyard Animals

Half a mile along the road from Dykehead lies the hamlet of Cullow, where a market and sheep fair used to be held. In the 1840s between eight and twelve thousand sheep were brought in over Jock’s Road and other drove roads for auction at Cullow on the 4th Monday in October and the last Friday in April.

Today nothing remains of the market but the whole area around here must have been white with sheep when the market was on!

As this cache is primarily a childrens cache, any adults logging it must post a picture of themselves doing a farmyard animal impression.

Cache is more easily accessed if you walk up with the wall on your left hand side.

When we set the cache, the only animals to be seen were sheep! However since then the field  seems to be used by cows and a particularly large bull. We will hopefully move this cache to a more sensible place in the near future but until then please be sensible and BEWARE OF THE BULL
