The cache is a small tupperware container (about 2"x 5" X 8")
disguised to blend with the surroundings.
The best method to find this one is to stand near the shubbery and
simply look for it.
There is no need to root through the ivy, it is right there in
front of you.
If you are able to find the cache visually without feeling
around for it, make note of that in your log...extra
points!!
The site of this cache is near the terminus of the Northern
Pacific Railroad. If you visit Pugnetti Park you will see a plaque
memorializing Donald Pugnetti's vision, Which helped build the
Tacoma Spur.
further on is another monument that reads: "June 10, 1926.
Commemorating December 16, 1873 when Northern Pacific Rails met
Pacific Ocean Sails at Tacoma, WA"
In fairness, it should be mentioned that although the railroad
was an economic windfall for the Pacific Northwest and the national
economy, it was a nail in the coffin for the tribal way of life and
many of the indigenous people.
