Geocache Description:

This is a small encased film canister. Shouldn't be too hard - just an easy drive by cache and quick history lesson.

In by-gone years this crook in the Bannock Creek had a lot more water in it. While I was a teenager, someone had installed a rope swing. It was a favorite spot for the teenagers and adults alike to take a break from the summer sun by swinging out and plunging into the cool water below.

Often, if we just wanted a bit of a thrill, we would just swing out with our clothes on and tempt the water - but we would just swing back to the shore.

The end of the rope swing came when one older teenager had stopped there with his friends. They just had their clothes on and were swinging for the fun of it. When one of them swung out right into the middle of the hole the swing broke and in he fell.

Enjoy the cache!
