Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Ruth Stickney area of the Atkinson Town Forrest near Big Island Pond. Park at the end of Lakeside Drive (opposite the Sunoco station off route 111), you will see the enterance to the Town Forrest. Parking coordinates are 42º51.367N 071º12.074W. Follow the trail. Most of the terrain is easy to navigate except for hill at the end which is quite steep. This is our first cache and our kids (ages 7 and 9) had fun putting it together. There are lots of fun trinkets. Enjoy!

If you want to take a shortcut, you may park on Water's Edge and there is a trailhead there. The walk is shorter and easier, but not quite as pretty or interesting. Please do NOT park on route 111 and "bushwhack". Besides being dangerous, as Route 111 is very busy, it is so much better to stick to the trail than to trample on the plants in the woods.
