Small loack-n-Lock with camo. General prairie terrian including grass, weeds, some cactus - short walk from parking. Very rare but possible snakes.
Every rest area should have a cache and now this one does. Near a scenic overlook of the South Platte valley and near Chappell Nebraska. Spring and searly summer reveal long stretches of open skyline with emerald green grass. Fall and winter have miles of golden grasses swaying in the wind. Along eastbound I-80. Take care to look for muggles and take time to rehide the container well with natural coverings. Rest area now permanently closed - Still accessible via county roads - DO NOT PARK ALONG THE INTERSTATE. Take a break on the long stretch of road between Sidney and Ogallala.
