Almondsbury Hill Multi-Cache
Huge Mess: This one has gone. After the maintenance visit in October I rehid the cache in a new spot but kept it disabled while I adjusted the puzzle. Today I visited with the aim of double checking the new co-ords and reactivating it. However, a HUGE amount of clearing has gone on and there is no sign of the cache anywhere. Ironically this would have made the cache more easily accessible! I think that this cache has ended its useful life. Thanks to the many people who have visited it and taken the trouble to write entertaining logs.

A multicache with a view. It should not take much more than half an hour to complete, but it is unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Almondsbury Hill provides an excellent view across the River Severn. The co-ordinates at the top of the page take you to an information board, from which you will need to find some numbers. There are parking spots, each large enough for several cars, very close by. Please don’t stop on the A38 itself.

Advice for finding the cache:
· Taking the route from the start to the cache location as the crow flies is inadvisable, unless you are a flying crow.
· The route to the cache is fairly overgrown (in July) and quite uneven, hence the terrain rating. WEAR OLD CLOTHES WITH LONG SLEEVES AND LONG TROUSERS – YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
· Due to the nature of the location, your GPSR might well be confused, hence the difficulty rating. When you get to within 50ft, see where the arrow is pointing and go over there!
When you’ve found the cache, please sign the log book and feel free to make any swaps. Please clip the lid back on carefully and re-hide the cache well. Good luck!
