East beach is in the beach parks category. These areas provide access to the ocean and sand for passive and active recreation. The beachfront offers picnic facilities, a playground, more than twelve volleyball courts and a full service restaurant at the East Beach Grill. The Cabrillo Pavilion Bathhouse offers showers, lockers, a weight room, beach wheelchair and volleyball rental.
