On the shore of the Minas Basin just outside Cheverie.
The Ocean can create some amazing vistas, over time. This one shows
what happens when a hugely variable tide level and a very brittle
substrate meet. We found this area years back while exploring the
area as amateur photographers and were blown away by what we had
found. This cache is located along the shores of the Minas Basin
(highest tides in the world) so as with any trip along this shore
you should be very mindful of the tides and time. The hike to the
cache is available at any tide except for the highest of full moon
tides but it is best to go at low tides to see what the tide has
created. Please be careful when going after the cache as we had to
hide it out of the reach of storms, the footing can be tricky
depending on where you go up. The cache container is a small,
camouflaged lock n’ lock with a stash note, log book, pencil
and a few small trade items. The waypoint for the parking brings
you to a dirt 'road' just off the main road that heads down to a
parking area. It is easily negotiated by most vehicles, we did it
with a Mazda3 with 3 people and large dog.
