This cache is on Mt. Graham on the road to Riggs Flat Lake. It is just off the Cunningham Camp Ground.
Cunningham has been a favorite, though infrequently visited trail of mine. My son took me there the first time when there was still snow on the ground. I have returned and hiked with my dog, Dawg, a couple of times, especially in the fall. It has such beauty in Autumn that it has inspired more than one poem. Whenever you come up here, I’m sure you will find it inspiring, too.
The cache is in a spot that inspired a short Haiku style poem. To find it, you need to turn in to the Cunningham camp ground--NOT Cunningham Loop. At the far end of the camp ground you will find a sign for the Grant Creek trail. Take this trail and let your GPS do the rest. It isn’t a long walk in, but hopefully the cache itself will be somewhat challenging. Pay attention when you find it so that you can replace it the same way.
