Geocache Description:

Old Redridge Dam, great terrain

"In 1894 a new mill in Redridge would require a large amount of water to aid in the stamping process when the Atlantic Mining Company built their first dam on the Salmon Trout River. It was timber crib filled with loose rock and dirt."

This is a fun cache for a sunny day, the scene around it is glorious and shows you a bit of the past. The cache is near the old dam but be sure to explore the new steel one too, maybe even walk the tracks? Just be cautious when crossing the river. Here's a link to save the dam...The cache is visible in some of the photos. It is an ammo box with some sharp stickers on it., fun starting content.
