The August meeting of the GGA will feature a return of one of our
favorite presentations -- The Snakes of Georgia. Once again the
Georgia Herpetological Society will entertain us with some of the
little creatures to look out for out there when you go geocaching.
We are honored that they will be able to give us this presentation
once again.
Unfortunately the Gwinnett Museum of Natural History has closed,
but Dr. Mark Patterson has offered to host the presentation at the
new Dacula Park. In return for our CITO activities at Tribble Mill
park earlier in the summer Dr. Mark has picked up the tab for the
pavilion rental. This park also has a nice swimming pool if you'd
like to arrive early with the kiddies to cool off.
Although there will be no charge for the pavilion rental, we
will pass the hat to collect an honorarium for our presenter.

The meeting time is tentatively set for 2:00 to 4:00 pm, but
please check back as that may change slightly. Please also note
that this is the first Saturday of the month, as Dr. Mark is
not available on our usual meeting date of the second Saturday.
Some updates: We should have a public safety officer present to
speak about personal safety while geocaching. There should also be
some little green jeep travel bugs added to the raffle table.
