Definitely a new one in a new series!
This is the 1st in a new series of caches I would like to place. They will be prefaced with the title 'R-T-C'...( Rome to Cartersville).
A beautiful stretch of highway with no quick caches on it! So I've decided to rectify the situation. ;)
The road is called State 20, 411, (also known as Marvin W. Cap Hicks Parkway).

On my way back to Rome from Cartersville, I decided to look for a stable I had seen a year ago while visiting from Texas to look for a new home. Thought I'd try to find it again today. Turned off 411 and met RIP at the gate...which he was locking. (You'll see, the road looks public....but guess it isn't) Asked about the stable. He told me to follow him. We ended up talking for sometime at the now deserted stable. Turns out I know indirectly the people that he works for as caretaker of the stable and surrounding 3800 acres!. Wonderful, kind soul! ;) So as I was leaving, a brilliant epiphany came to me! Where I first met RIP....... was a perfect place for a cache!No need to venture into the woods. (Isn't it amazing how us GC'ing guys/gals think!?) hahaha

Gate is normally closed....if open....no need to go through. Just pull onto the side. Not a lot of traffic thru here.
