"Patriots Point" is located in Woodland Cemetery in Lawrence County, Ohio...Opened in the 1870's, veterans are identified as true heros here...
Woodland Cemetery has to be in the top 100 cemeteries in the country. They have hundreds of veterans interred here. They honor them with great dignity for the sacrifice they made for freedom.
Sprawling over more than 25 acres, the cemetery is adorned with American Flags at gravesites where soldiers are buried...
As you enter the cemetery, you will pass the Silent Guardians Monument at the Civil War Memorial area... Travel down toward the eastern end of the cemetery to "Patriots Point"... Here you will find two large monuments to veterans of all wars... The "Veterans Memorial" area has a marble bench seating area and a memorial brick walkway of heroes that served in the Armed Forces over the years...The cannons are commemorative of wars past... It is a very nice tribute to veterans and is sponsored by the Veterans Memorial Committee...
It is here you will find the cache, a camouflaged small pill bottle which contains a log book... Bring a pen...You will find it right under you nose!... You'll walk past it a couple of times before you ever see it... Please make sure it is placed exactly back where it came!
