This is a fantastic cache placed by one of my favorite cache hiders, thebooker.
This cache has been adopted so that it can be kept in memory of thebooker and his influence on caching in the Central PA Region. Thebooker was a good man with a kind heart and will be missed and fondly remembered.
Below follows thebookers original description for this cache:
"Be ready for a long ascent to this rocky mound. Wear your orange in hunting season.
The area can be seen from the parking spot but it took us over 2 hours to reach it. We chased off a huckleberry eating bear on the way and 2 deer on the way back. The plateau by the cache is interesting to explore with a stone throne and various cairns. I'd compare this to the thousand steps minus the steps. Its in homage to the first cache I ever found nearer the parking area and to my dad who was an electrcian."

As with any arduous trek, please plan ahead before attempting this cache. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for rough terrain, climbing, and the weather, and don't forget to bring some water. This can be a significant hike and challenging adventure; you will be exerting some energy. Do not attempt this if you are not in good physical health. This find may involves traversing steep, rocky and uneven ground. Please be wary of snakes at all times. Always let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return. I highly recommend doing this with a partner or group (for safety, but mostly to share the experience).
Blaze Orange is required during hunting season; this cache is located within an area that may be heavily hunted during the primary hunting seasons.
Again, please be appropriately prepared and be careful. Please remember to enjoy the natural world and be careful not to damage it. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints. As always, cache-in, trash-out!
